Breathing Music is the perfect natural holistic way to relax and recover from a hectic day.

Before I explain the album in more detail, read the instructions below and try out the audio demonstration of one of the tracks.

Audio demonstration - Breathing Ripples - Second Edition (10 breaths per minute)

Instructions:

Breathe in slowly on the chime and breathe out whenever it feels most comfortable. I prefer to take slow, deep breaths through my nose and exhale through my mouth, but please do research about different breathing techniques and choose the one that you are comfortable with. You should take slow, deep breaths in and out, using your diaphragm. Don't take shallow breaths and don't hold your breath.

If, when you are playing the audio demonstration you find you have any concerns about your breathing or any problems at all then stop playing the music and consult your medical doctor.

Be careful putting the audio demonstrations on repeat as they will not loop perfectly.

Is that it, but the breathing rate wasn't right for me?

Yes that's it. Don't worry if you found the speed too fast or slow, that is why the 3 music and 1 ocean waves track on the album are at a variety of different breathing rates, you choose the one that is most comfortable for you.

Try taking your pulse rate or blood pressure before and after the audio demonstration. Was there a change?


What's on the Album?

There are three musical compositions and one composition of the ocean waves. Each composition has a range of breathing rates (12, 10, 8 ,6 breaths per minutes). There is a sound (chime, wave, etc) to help you breathe in and then you breathe out whenever it feels comfortable. Each track is 15 minutes in length making a total of 4 hours.

Please note unlike my previous breathing albums, where I mentioned breaths per minute to be the inhale and exhale combined, now when I mention breaths per minute, the inhale and exhale breath are counted separately.

So how is this album different from my previous slow breathing albums?

With my previous breathing albums there was a chime to tell you when to breathe in and a chime to tell you when to breathe out, but I felt this was too restrictive. Now I have a chime/indicator to guide you with your inhale breath and you breathe out whenever you feel comfortable. Please note that most breathing techniques advise that the inhale breath takes less time than the exhale breath, and remember no holding your breath.

Below are some free audio demonstration from some of the other tracks. As mentioned above you will notice the music styles do vary, this is to give you flexibility and help you to relax. Be careful putting the audio demonstrations on repeat as they will not loop perfectly.


Audio demonstration - Time of Breathing (10 breaths per minute)
On this track you will hear a sitar to indicate when you breathe in, breathe out whenever it feels comfortable. The echo of the sitar you may hear on this track is not a guide for your breathing.

Audio demonstration - Breath of Time 4 (10 breaths per minute)
On this track the guitar tells you when to breathe in and you breathe out whenever feels comfortable.

Audio demonstration - Ocean Waves Breathing (10 breaths per minute)
On this track you will hear the ocean waves. Breathe in on the sound of the big wave not the backwash. Breathe out whenever it feels comfortable.

As mentioned some of the breathing rates will not be suitable for you, just choose the ones that feel comfortable.

This music on this album can be used for relaxation to de-stress and unwind, for yoga breathing, meditation and in many other therapies.

What is the history of this album?

I am a hypnotherapist and have been composing relaxation music for many years. This included composing music to help people develop their techniques in slow breathing. In 2013, I decided to compose a new breathing album, with a lot more flexibility than my previous breathing albums.
